According to the dictionary on my laptop, satire means the following:

noun
the use of humor, irony, exaggeration, or ridicule to expose and criticize people's stupidity or vices, particularly in the context of contemporary politics and other topical issues. See note at wit .

• a play, novel, film, or other work that uses satire : a stinging satire on American politics.

I found the above article rather amusing due to the satire it had regarding a great deal of major events that took place the previous year. It talked about things such as the elections, to teenage pop culture. It is satire due to the fact that every thing it talked about was indeed true, or based upon truth, but was highly exaggerated, and talked about in a sarcastic manner.

I also watched a video on theonion which was about a new Apple computer. This Apple computer had no keyboard. It basically looked like a bigger version of an Ipod shuffle. This video showed that in the whole hyph to create cool new products, their original intentions of created something that actually makes sense, and makes things more comfortable is slowly getting lost. Its making fun of the fact that time is actually being wasted creating useless products, just to sell things, rather to put the effort into something more important. People's comments on the video were amusing, because many believed that such a computer was actually going to be available soon.
