What is civil disobedience? Have you ever done it? Can it change society?
Civil Disobedience is an essay by Henry David Thoreau. Its when people refuse to obey certain laws because they feel it is unjust, and base their actions on morality instead. They do this, nonviolently, and in order to put forth some sort of change, regardless of the consequences they may face. It certainly can change society if they people behind it really believe in what they're trying to achieve. I have not been apart of something so big yet, but I would love to help fight for the rights of others, and hopefully one day I'll be able to do this.
